On March 27, 2015, the first anniversary charity gala against colon cancer took place at SugarCity's de Middenfabriek. During this evening, €85,000 was raised for research into this disease.
The Pixels Against Colon Cancer Foundation is a small, effective organization. The foundation was established at the end of 2009 to raise awareness of colon cancer in an effective manner. The foundation has ANBI certification and has a beneficial partnership with the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, among others. In addition to supporting essential scientific research to improve the treatment methods for colorectal cancer, the foundation is actively involved in providing information about the disease.
