Since 2000, the SugarFactory site in Halfweg has been undergoing rapid development. The former sugar factory, dating from 1863, has now been transformed into an impressive industrial event location. The original character of the factory has been preserved but updated with all modern facilities such as a car lift and sustainable LED lighting. The coolest events have been organized here for five years now. Curious about what it's like to work at SugarFactory? We describe a day at SugarFactory!
A request comes in
After a few minutes' walk from the nearby station, you arrive at work. A request comes in via email. It turns out to be a well-known Dutch bank that wants to organize a large staff party and is looking for a suitable location. They still have a few critical questions, but you manage to convince them of the power of the old sugar factory. You know that almost anything is possible and you have the right connections to make it happen. You schedule a tour with the client. Fortunately, they are impressed by the industrial location and you get the go-ahead to plan the event!
Down to the last detail
The client does not have their own caterer or decorator, but fortunately, you know a few that SugarFactory has worked with successfully in the past. You ask what kind of cuisine and style they are looking for and put them in touch with a caterer who can make the most delicious Italian snacks and a decorator who you know can transform the large Middenfabriek into an intimate and festive location. Once the layout and floor plan have been drawn up, you assess whether they comply with fire safety requirements and whether the environmental permits are in order. The client wants to install a few fairground attractions on the grounds. You inform the municipality about this and draft a letter to notify the immediate neighbors.
A successful event
Thanks to your social skills and customer-oriented yet commercial approach, customers love you and you know how to make every event a success! When you look back at the photos of the event, which was attended by around 1,000 guests, you and the team can look back on a successful event. You send the photos and a short summary to the marketing department so that this event can also be added to the impressive portfolio. Are you hands-on and do you enjoy personal contact?
