The Voice of Holland chooses SugarFactory again
Last year, producer Talpa chose SugarCity as the setting for The Battles of the popular TV show The Voice of Holland. This year, they returned to SugarFactory for the 2016 edition. The best candidates sang their way to The Battles and took their place in the battle ring. The atrium creates a unique setting that guarantees spectacular images again this year.
Season 2016
October 2016 saw the start of the seventh season of the popular talent show 'The Voice', which is once again searching for the best singing talent in the Netherlands. This year, The Voice of Holland has a brand-new jury. Newcomers Guus and Waylon will compete against experienced coaches Ali B and Sanne. This has already led to a spectacular battle between the coaches to create the strongest team. Soon it will be the candidates' turn to compete against each other in the battle ring. This year, there will also be an extra round, 'The Knockouts', in which the coaches will have to make difficult choices between their own contestants.
Sustainable improvements
Last year, the facilities at SugarFactory were significantly expanded to optimally facilitate Talpa. The first floor was made ready for use and the electrical capacity was increased to no less than 1500 KVA.
This year, various modifications have been made again. For example, the roof has been renovated and insulated, the internet supply has been expanded with fiber optics, and new emergency stairs ensure that more visitors can come. The new LED lighting means that fewer lights need to be installed and looks good on camera because the fixtures have been professionally placed between the pillars. The recognizable staircase has also been modified, giving The Knockouts a completely new look!
