On 19 November 2016 € 80.000,- was collected for Het Leontienhuis. For the second time the organisation Vereniging het Verschil came to SugarCity for the boxing gala. Each year during the VHV Boksgala money is collected for another charity. This year it was for Het Leontienhuis, for which a record revenue was collected.
The 24 participants, who step into the ring every year for charity, have no experience with boxing. Therefore the participants train intensively for 5 months to be in top condition for this boxing gala.
The guests were received this evening as VIP guests in the Middenfabriek. They are the spectators, followers, but also the sponsors of the boxers in the ring. The centre of the evening are the fights. There is also delicious food during a luxurious dinner. The evening ended with the honouring of the winner, who went home with a big trophy. The other participants are also proud of their performance in the ring and the result achieved for the good cause. After the honouring the Leontienhuis received the collected money. We look back on a successful evening.
